Shubneet Dale

I am in my second year of the Master of Public Health program at UBC, and I live and work in Vancouver on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

My interest in public health began while working as a contact tracer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeing how social and economic factors led to health disparities motivated me to pursue a career where I could contribute to advancing health equity and improving access to care. That is why I’m excited to join the Reproductive Choices Lab for my practicum placement where I will be supporting a knowledge translation project about centralized intake systems for abortion care.

Outside of work and school, I love trying new baking recipes, being outdoors and going for walks in the forest, and spending time with my family and friends.
